Thirty-two schools have been named recipients of the 2023 Mathical Book Prize Collection Development Awards. Presented by the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute (SLMath), in partnership with School Library Journal (SLJ), the grant program awarded $700 to each of the selected Title I U.S. school libraries to purchase Mathical Book Prize-winning titles for their schools. This is the fourth year of the program.

The Mathical Book Prize recognizes outstanding youth trade fiction and nonfiction PreK through Grade 12 that inspire a love of math in the world around us. It is awarded by SLMath in partnership with the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), and in coordination with the Children’s Book Council (CBC). The prize is made possible with support from the Firedoll Foundation, Joan and Irwin Jacobs, and the Guru Krupa Foundation.
