PreS-Gr 2–Two siblings go through the seasons with family and loved ones in this colorful book about the passing of time. ­Beginning with winter, the siblings enjoy time inside reading, playing, and having warm drinks. As time passes, they enjoy time outside in the warmer weather, as spring arrives. ­Flowers bloom and bees are out as they play. The weather begins to get even warmer, and they all enjoy water and ice cream, and time at the beach as summer arrives in full swing. When the days begin to get shorter and the weather cooler, it is fall, and everyone begins to spend more time inside. Finally, the year comes full circle as winter arrives, and the family celebrates special days indoors. Even though the seasons begin again, they are not quite the same, because the siblings get older as each year passes. Colorful illustrations show the animals and their families and friends as they enjoy a variety of activities each season. Children will love looking over every page and discovering what activities are taking place. The Spanish text includes fun dialogue between characters as well as a lovely narrative that tells of the changes that are occurring as time passes.
