Children and YA librarians gathered en masse at SLJ's annual Day of Dialog, held during BookExpo, at NYU’s Kimmel Center on Wednesday, May 30. The most anticipated librarian-only event of the year featured the best authors, editors, and publishers in the industry talking about the latest trends and the hottest books in the world of kid and ya literature. SLJ editors and contributors took advantage of having access to these brilliant creators to get the inside scoop on their latest works.

Eoin Colfer, author of the "Artemis Fowl" series, opens up to Rocco Staino, contributing editor, about his graphic novel Illegal (Sourcebooks; August 7).

Children's librarian and SLJ reviewer Paula Willey sat down with author/illustrator John Hendrix to discuss his graphic nonfiction work, The Faithful Spy: Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the Plot to Kill Hitler (Abrams; September 4).
