I am an unabashed lover of the Artstor database and I was thrilled to discover a recent Artstor blog announcement sharing that more that one million images, videos, documents, and audio files from public institutional collections are now freely available without a login.

All this lovely new discoverability is possible because contributing institutions make their content available via JSTOR Forum, a tool facilitates the cataloging, management, and sharing of digital media collections.
In addition to the art in the Public Collections provided by a wide array of institutions, the general public now has access to
The images in Library.artstor.org are also available in Artstor’s Shared Shelf Commons, its free, open-access image library.
Users may search and browse, use the tools to zoom, print, export, and share images from this long list of participating organizations.
