PreS–Daniel Tiger shares his photo book, which features scenes with all his loved ones. Daniel does activities with friends like Katerina, interacts with the adults in his life like Teacher Harriet, and spends time with his family. Simple and direct sentences bring readers along with Daniel as he lists all the people he loves. Illustrations show each character and activity described, with the characteristic warmth of the artwork in the Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood animated series. Although there is not much variation from the show, some may find this useful as a book about love that is not classically Valentine-centric.
VERDICT A nice but nonessential addition to public library collections.
