An elephant’s nose on the far right of the page gives readers a clue who is coming next to attempt to take over. A surprise ending finds that the real boss is ready for bed. This very funny story hits children right, playing with their sense of fairness as well as affording a lesson in comparisons.

VERDICT The twist at the end will please young and old readers. Recommended.
