K-Gr 2—Despite the many fairy-tale collections currently available, this title is worthy of attention. The 15 short stories, including the popular "The Three Little Pigs" as well as lesser-known tales, such as "The Bell of Atri," hail from many different countries of origin-a great resource for librarians who are eager to share literature from around the world. The selections vary in length, ranging from two to eight pages, but they each retain basic plot elements, making these strong introductions to popular narratives. Students will enjoy determining the moral of each tale and debating each character's fate. The illustrations are bright, cheery, and whimsical, creating a warm and enriching experience for readers.—
