The Itsy Bitsy Spider/Opposites: Big Book of Fun, Little Book of Learning

Flowerpot. (Big Book Little Book). Apr. 2024. 20p. Board $10.99. ISBN 9781486729197.
PreS–This title is to be used on two different levels, and both are quite charming. A plucky spider faces the age-old challenges of going up the waterspout. She doesn’t give up, and in the end her efforts to do her best “made her feel like she had won!” The illustrations capture the spider’s tenacity. Small spotlight scenes show opposites that are featured in the main text and easily capture the meanings.
VERDICT A fun and vocabulary building edition of the can-do spider. Recommended.
