The 12 chapters, with titles like “Let’s Pretend” and “Let’s Sing,” feature thematic activities that educators and parents can turn to again and again. Each page details the materials and tools that are needed and includes kid-friendly instructions. Most of the materials can be found at home or during a quick trip to the dollar or craft store. Each section sports approximately 10-20 activities, and they range in difficulty. The illustrations are bright and colorful; they include kids with diverse skin colors and will draw in readers. Highlights fans will find some of the classic elements, such as Hidden Pictures, and short stories illustrated by well-known artists, such as Zachariah OHora.
