Gr 7–10—The third title (Thomas Nelson, 2013) in Angler's dystopian series raises the level of suspense. Logan and his friends have become the leaders of the Markless faction and are on a quest to find a cure for a horrible epidemic that is sweeping through the Marked. Erin, who discovered the government's plan to launch a biological weapon against those who refuse to get marked, is also in danger. They are racing against time to curtail the epidemic and to attempt to rescue Logan's sister, Lily. Those familiar with the series will remember that Logan and his group, known as the Dust, previously broke into Archeron but failed to rescue Lily. As a result of a betrayal by Logan, their friend Eddie was captured and tortured. In Storm, the excitement builds as they are on the run, trying to figure out if Lily is a faithful soldier in the Dome army, or if she's feigning her loyalty in order to survive. In addition, the weather has become unstable and a huge storm is brewing. Barrie Buckner's narration heightens the novel's suspense and drama. Although fans of the series might feel a bit let down at the conclusion of this volume, they will look forward to the next installment.—
