Gr 1-3–It’s Christmas Eve, but Santa Claus is so sleepy that he cannot not stop yawning. He lands his sleigh at the Three Bears’ house to take a short nap. No one is home, so he sits in a comfy chair and falls asleep. When the Three Bears return home, they find Santa and realize he still has gifts to deliver. Try as they might, they can’t wake him. Finally, Baby Bear calls the Fairy-Tale Rescue Rangers for help. Peacock weaves in beloved fairy tale characters, including the Three Little Pigs and Gingerbread Man, working together to save Christmas. Thus, the book has more meaning to readers if they have already know other fairy tales. The audience gets a preview of what these Fairy-Tale Rescue Rangers face in the illustrated map at the opening of the book. Readers can listen to an audio reading of the book by scanning a QR code on the back.
