They get so angry that they throw snow and push until both are cold and sad. "Then Posy did a very kind thing." She apologizes to her friend, and he does the same. Then they go inside to play. The story and illustrations are packed with warmth, humor, and sympathetic understanding of the little dramas of young children's lives.
