Gr 5–8—In this installment, Caesar's care partner, Charlie, is once again on active duty, so Caesar returns to being a super-sniffing explosive-finding dog in the Australian Army. On their first mission back together, Caesar and his handler, Ben, discover a bomb at the Sydney Opera House that is targeting the visiting secretary-general of the United Nations. Caesar saves the day but then the official's helicopter goes down and he is captured by the Taliban. Caesar, Ben, and Charlie join an international team to rescue him. This action-packed adventure will satisfy animal lovers and military enthusiasts alike. Caesar is easy to love and admire, and he really shines at showing the greatness behind military service dogs.—
