My Sister's Stalker

Gr 8–11—Springer tackles the complexities of a sibling relationship and a perverse stalker who nearly destroys a family. Fifteen-year-old Rig Ebro is an artsy loner who lives with his bohemian mother while his older sister, Kari, is away at college and practically unreachable. He discovers that his capable and beautiful sister is in serious danger after he finds a creepy, voyeuristic website dedicated to her. In no time, Rig and his father are en route to Kari's college campus where Rig confronts and nearly gets stabbed by the stalker. Rig's narrative is conversational in tone, as if he were retelling the story to a friend. The climax is fast paced and exciting.
