PreS-K—The "little ones" (a mixed group of 10 different animals, including a pig, koala, dog, and alligator) are leaving Littleland for a trip around the world. Each spread features a brief description of the locales they are visiting and a selection of seek-and-find images for children to spot. The first spread includes items they will need on their trip, such as a map and camera. The little ones visit a variety of cities across the globe, with searchable objects relevant to each destination. The journey begins in London (teacup and black taxi), goes through the Netherlands (tulip and windmill), India (mangoes and sitar), visiting nearly every continent, before winding up in New York City (hot dog and skyscraper). The digitally produced images are colorful and simple while still conveying the visual flavor of the different sights. A solid choice.—Martha Link Yesowitch, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, NC
In this global journey for young kids, animal friends (first seen in Littleland) visit fourteen countries, including France, Kenya, India, Australia, Brazil, and the United States. Each brightly colored double-page spread shows the characters mixing with similar animals (in national dress); place-specific objects to identify in the digitally rendered Richard Scarry–esque pictures appear in page footers.
