Sweet and simple color illustrations support the family theme of cooking together and add humor to this kinetic tale. Young fans of his online presence will be delighted by Kobe’s debut in print. Simply written, young readers should not be surprised as Kobe makes a mess while enjoying what he loves. Parents will appreciate introducing their children to an experience they may want to reproduce at home.
VERDICT A winsome tale centered on family and fun. This book is not a must read, but it is recommended for budding chefs or for a quick before-dinner read-aloud.
