Is That a Coconut? Yuck!

PreS-Gr 2—The animals in this delightful pastel forest find a "small round hairy" thing. Each one in turn is hoping that it is a delicious treat, but instead determines it to be a coconut, yuck! Upon this discovery, each chucks the object into the sky and through the air to be discovered by the next animal. The mother monkey seen at the beginning is chasing this "coconut" through the forest. Young readers will be amused by the details in the vivid spreads and the animals' expressions and will reach the conclusion that the coconut isn't at all what it appears to be.
