Gr 9 Up—Fans as well as those unfamiliar with Dylan Thomas's works will be delighted with this collection of about two dozen of the author's most famous poems and short stories. Among the selections are A Child's Christmas in Wales, A Visit to Grandpa's, "Do Not Go Gentle," "Death Shall Have No Dominion," and "Youth Calls to Age." Most of the reading is done by Geraint Wyn Davies, but four other voice actors also contribute. All the selections are read with passion and authentic interpretation. Music interludes separate most of the stories and poems. The CD cover features the Boathouse in Langharne where Thomas spent the last few years of his life.
