Its drivers, both male and female, use a seed drill, a spreader, a harvester, and a baler as the crops grow and change. During muddy times, the tractor helps cars stuck along a dirt road and then takes a rest in the barn during winter. The boldly colored pictures are beautiful; these intricate paper collages have reoccurring characters that children will love discovering on the pages. The book's large size and vivid spreads make it an excellent choice for storytimes, and its clear font and simple rhyming text make it a good early-reader choice.
