Bunnies begin this tale moving their tails and making friends as they all boogie along the way. Vibrant pictures show lambs, ducks, pigs, and other animals grooving in the newly bountiful springtime. Sweet pictures pair perfectly with the short rhythmic text, and children will be smiling over word choices or up dancing with the characters. Movement is the big theme, but the book has an underlying motif of friendship: Children will also learn about the traits of the bunnies’ friends through sounds or characteristics.
VERDICT Pair this with Elizabeth Bennett’s It’s Spring Time! for a bunny-filled story hour on the pleasures of spring.
