El Señor Pocket: Un amigo imaginario

Gr 1-3–Noa is a girl with light brown skin who has an active imagination and goes on many adventures with her imaginary friend, Mr. Pocket. At school, she and Mr. Pocket, a large creature made up entirely of red hair, play in her math and social science classes, among the books and notebooks. Noa’s teacher meets with her father Marcos and shares that Noa is too distracted in class, playing with her friend Mr. Pocket. Her dad is very concerned until a therapist reassures him that having a big imagination is an amazing gift. Marcos decides to play along as they go to the library and bakery. During their day, they find a toy fox who communicates with Mr. Pocket—his owner is lost in the woods. With the help of her imaginary friend, Noa and her father find the missing boy. They reunite him with his mother and stuffy. Could Mr. Pocket be real? This charming picture book celebrates the importance of children’s imagination. It also presents a model for parents.
