Gr 2–5—Based on the popular Uglydoll toys, this collection of short comics tells a variety of stories all related to food. , The Uglydolls spoof them all with their odd and at times random sense of humor, from televised food competitions to ridiculously unnecessary cooking gadgets to stolen free samples at the supermarket. Various one-page comics throughout the book by the original toy creators Sun-Min Kim and David Horvath help wrap all the different stories together. A sleek variety of art styles helps break up the monotony but stays true to the original Uglydoll vision.
