The big game is today!” The game ends in a tie, but not before a loose ball and a confused chicken cause a little mayhem. This silly and sweet easy reader has gentle rhymes, busy illustrations, mostly one-syllable words, and a happy ending. Pair with Stemple’s other silly bird books Toucan with Two Cans and Flamingo Bingo.
VERDICT With whimsical birds in a ridiculous scenario, this will surely make new readers giggle.
