K-Gr 3—In this eclectic, educational, and spiritual collection, the Billy Jonas Band uses a wide variety of vocal sound effects and musical instruments. Many of the songs have an educational component, be it learning all the uses of the word hairy in "Hairy Things" or being thankful and thoughtful in "Moment of Noise." "L-M-N-O-P Break" is a funky tune with a fun saxophone and bass riff defining multiple words beginning with the letter "p" such as proficient and perspicacious! Three different a cappella interludes of the song "Fruit Salad Serenade" will entertain listeners with different forms of fruits, including prunes, coconuts, and dates. "It's Good For You and Good For Me" is a lyrical and touching song about why we do such things as prune apple trees, learn to walk, and go to college. The production quality is great and the musicianship is excellent with very nice harmonies and musical arranging, though the eccentric nature of this CD may narrow its appeal.
