One day Jono's father, Kenny, introduces Ana and Jono, but starts questioning who Ana really is. As Jono and Ana become close, can they show Kenny that they really aren't so different, after all? Told from the perspectives of all three characters, this book really gets to the heart of the subject of immigration and refugees. Atkins handles the tough situations with lots of insight and strongly developed characters. This is also a fantastic coming-of-age novel.
VERDICT An informative, timely book. Give to readers interested in contemporary issues.
