PreS-Gr 3—Hold on to your sombreros. Lucky Diaz la Familia Musica have produced a fantastic children's album to entertain a new generation of youth and adult listeners. "Viva la Pachanga" ("Long Live the Party") kicks the CD off with a rip-roaring, dance-till-you-drop accordion, accompanied by the always welcome baritone sax. Lucky's rendition of "De Colores" is a refreshing upbeat revamp of a traditional folk song. "Vamaos a Cantar" ("Let's Count") transports audiences to the 1950s with a doo wop-style counting song. The jacket art is festive and fun, but an easier-to-follow list of the tracks on the CD would be helpful. Vocals and sound production are pleasantly reminiscent of Manu Chao. Entertaining for non-Spanish speakers and Spanish speakers alike, this is a must have for all libraries—school, public or otherwise.—
