A Very Ninja Halloween

PreS-Gr 2-Yukio and his little sister, Kashi, celebrate Halloween in this latest installment of the series. Kashi admires her big brother, and she's always copying him and asking him questions, like "What was that old scarecrow rhyme?" about the Samurai Scarecrow. But when Kashi copies his Halloween costume, Yukio decides that he's had enough. He yells at Kashi and goes trick-or-treating with his friends. Then, the dreaded Samurai Scarecrow attacks. With the same blend of formal Japanese art, manga style, and engaging text that made Samurai Santa popular, the Halloween version is sure to be a hit with little ninjas everywhere. The digitally rendered illustrations add an element of spookiness to this fun sibling story, and readers can see that even though Yukio is frustrated with his little sister, he cares for her deeply.
