A Star on TV, Lucy McGee

Gr 2-5–Lucy McGee is back with more zany adventures featuring her Songwriting Club classmates. In this adorable return to the lovable character, readers find out that fifth-grader Lucy, along with her friend Phillip, gets to sing one of their songs on their school’s morning show. But when their attention-loving classmate Scarlett finds out that she and the rest of the Songwriting Club were not invited, they get angry. Lucy goes out of her way to smooth things over with them. When she and Phillip are invited back to the show, they promise not to appear without the rest of the group—however, the duo soon find out that Scarlett is secretly singing a song on television too, where her mom works! Lucy decides to have a Songwriting Club party at her home without telling her parents, and guilts Scarlett into inviting her and the rest of the club on the television show.
