Join us March 17 for "Everything Al in Education." On April 22, we'll present "Emerging Technologies in K–12, from AR/VR to the Metaverse."
Everything Al in Education (March 17) will explore the ways Al is shaping classroom instruction, teacher preparation, and leadership. Panelists will share approaches to using Al with students, the ways in which it can streamline educators’ task lists, and address ethical concerns surrounding the technology. The event features Victoria Thompson, author of Elevate Equity in Edtech, and Vickie Echols, author of AI for School Leaders, and award-winning librarians, Todd Burleson and Elissa Malespina, The moderator is Jean Darnell, the director of library science for Philadelphia schools.
Emerging Technologies in K–12, from AR/VR to the Metaverse on April 22 will focus on engaging students by incorporating new and emerging technologies such as AI, AR & VR, blockchain, metaverse, and web3 into instruction. Participating in the discussion will be Rachelle Dené Poth, author of What the Tech?: An Educator’s Guide to AI, AR/VR, the Metaverse and More; Jaime Donally, author of The Immersive Classroom: Create Customized Learning Experiences with AR/VR; and Phil Hintz, whose research centers on the power of the MetaVerse for inclusive education. The conversation will be moderated by Andrea Trudeau, library information specialist, Alan B. Shepard Middle School.
Both events begin at 4:00 ET and attendees will receive a CE credit for each upon completion.
