PreS-Gr 2—Tickle Plenty lives in the chocolate chip cookie house in the rainbow forest where she is surrounded by magical objects and an eclectic group of animal friends. One day she discovers that the crows have stolen gum from the bubble gum tree because they have been told the tree caused the ice cream volcano to stop erupting. Tickle Plenty and her friends then set out to fix the ice cream volcano and prove the tree innocent, all while encountering plenty of problems to solve along the way. Luckily Tickle Plenty is a resourceful problem solver. Minkoff creates a world featuring everything a child could want in a magical forest: walking picnic baskets, sweets galore, and talking animals. Alison Larkin is a superb narrator, easily distinguishing among the many characters with different accents and distinct voices.
VERDICT A lovely listen for families.
