While the writing is straightforward, students may feel overwhelmed and occasionally distressed by the gravity of the data. However, hope is offered at the end of each selection in the form of suggestions on how to be a better citizen: recycling, using less water, etc.
VERDICT A great series for units on climate change or spreading environmental awareness.
