PreS-K–The subtitle is not succinct: “A Padded Board Book for Infants and Toddlers featuring First Words and Adorable Embroidery Pictures.” However, it is true. The third title in the “Crafty First Words Series” features detailed stitched and embroidered illustrations that leap off the page and make children and their adults try out words and perhaps wish to gather simple materials to make things. A wide variety of vocabulary is introduced in spreads on topic areas including “nature, toys, and yummy foods.”
VERDICT Eye-catching and inspiring, this book could launch shared creative sessions as well as word lessons. Recommended.
