The author also provides a primer on goal setting that works in tandem with the affirmations. The text aims to help African American women and girls envision a future where there is space for their ideas, dreams, and goals.
VERDICT Fievre gives readers the inspiration they need to craft their own version of Black girl magic; she provides a self-care road map but firmly puts teens in the driver’s seat. This is an ideal title for public and high school libraries.
