This volume contains an extensive amount of information about dragons and related creatures from around the world. Starting with a general survey of dragons, the sections then branch off into dragon biology, habitats, and interactions with humans. Each sepia-toned page includes many intricate illustrations, some in color. Though the volume ostensibly plays it straight, there's a welcome element of tongue-in-cheek humor. Ind.
