Jewish preschools, temples, and libraries in search of a Purim book for toddlers will find this an acceptable addition. Others may want to wait for something more informative.
In an attempt to be child-centric, this Hanukkah book fails in historical accuracy and a plausible storyline, while adding anachronistic, simplified language to the mix. Better Hanukkah books abound. Pass on this subpar effort.
Entirely unremarkable. Libraries with big Elmo fans or that need a way to introduce Hanukkah in ways that will be an easy sell to non-Jewish readers may want to consider this mediocre offering.
This mediocre offering would be an acceptable addition to Jewish schools and libraries who are in dire need of Sukkot books for preschoolers. All others can pass.
This lovely friendship story does an excellent job portraying a lesser-known Jewish community and their traditions. An excellent choice for libraries wanting to expand their Hanukkah collections.
