PreS-Gr 3—The three mischievous bunnies from Candace Fleming's Muncha, Muncha, Muncha (2002) are back in this follow-up (2010, both S & S), and this time they are trying to escape the wild winter weather by hiding in Mr. McGreely's cozy house. Mr. McGreely will have none of it and he blocks every entrance to his home, culminating in a brick wall across his door. Don't feel too bad for the bunnies though, they get their revenge by chewing on his beautiful flowers as spring arrives and Mr. McGreely is blockaded inside. Rhythmic language and the use of onomatopoeia make this a delightful listen. G. Brian Karas's paint-and-pencil art captures the action and humor. The narrator's pace and tone and the sound effects and background music complement and enhance the text, portraying the suspense and humor of the story. Page-turn signals are optional.—April Mazza, Wayland Public Library, MA
