The Land That Rock Forgot

This musical mix of story and 12 songs performed on guitar, bass, and drums with nice vocal harmonies features several musical styles: rock, a cappella, country, reggae, folk, and funk. On their way to a gig in Sillycon Valley, technology addicts Brian Waite, Todd Gray, and Clif Swiggett crash land on a jungle island. The first resident they meet, Wanna Banana, convinces them that they don’t need electricity to make music. When they ask about getting off the island, he refers them to “The King” who lives on the other side of the island, and warns them to avoid the Village People. After a night sleeping under the stars, they hear the Village People approaching and take off running, but Brian trips and is left behind. Todd and Clif meet Sting the Bee, who leads them to his colony to hide out and join their bug celebration. Eventually, the three reunite and continue their journey, which includes a mud bath with Pig Floyd. Later, they arrive in a lovely garden and meet Mother Nature, who chides them for not visiting her often enough. She introduces them to “The King,” a monarch butterfly, who grants them passage from the island after one more song together. Among the songs are “High Tech World,” “Tappin’ Out da Riddim,” “Hike with Me,” “Bug Party,” “Mother Nature’s Song,” “Let’s Get Wild,” “Time to Move and Groove” (which invites listeners to imitate different animals), and more.
