Some of the pop culture references are dated—for example, 1989's The Adventures of Milo and Otis in Pugs. The main draw of the series is the photos. Clear images of cute pups playing are placed front and center in most of the spreads and will keep readers turning the pages. Accessible entries wherever animal books are popular.
