AASL Announces Social Media Superstar Finalists

These school librarians use social media to elevate their profession and empower their students.

The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) announced its Social Media Superstars finalists. The awards recognize school library professionals who "enrich the profession and its work on behalf of students by sharing in social media circles."
The eight categories include advocacy ambassador, curriculum champion, leadership luminary, program pioneer, reader leader, sensational student voice, social justice defender, and tech troubadour.
See the full list of finalists and read about what they have done in their school communities. Now through March 15, the public is asked to submit endorsements for any of the finalists. The testimonials will only be visible to AASL's Social Media Recognition Committee, which will consider them along with the original nominations in selecting a Superstar for each category.
The winners will be announced on Monday April 1.
